Wholemeal apple muffins with rolled oats

These muffins are a perfect example of how you can bake extremely delicious and fluffy things using whole wheat flour.
Ingredients:
- 100 g fresh whole wheat flour
- 60 g fresh rolled oats
- 50 g sugar
- 35 g brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 40 g vegetable oil (neutral taste)
- 120 g milk 1.5%
- 1 egg
- 1 medium-sized apple
Preparation:
- Preheat oven (top/bottom heat 200 °C).
- Grease the muffin tin or line the tin with paper baking cups.
- Mix the dry ingredients well.
- In a second bowl, thoroughly whisk together milk, oil, vanilla extract and egg.
- Pour all the dry ingredients into the second bowl at once, quickly mixing everything with a whisk to form a smooth, liquid batter.
- Peel the apple and grate it finely.
- Gently fold the grated apples into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the paper baking cups or muffin tin and bake for about 25 minutes.
- Remove the muffins from the baking tray, let them cool on a wire rack – and enjoy!
