These donuts make a great dessert. This recipe is especially suitable for birthday parties and will delight your guests.


Ingredients:

  • 500 g fresh wheat flour
  • 80 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g margarine
  • 200 ml milk
  • 23 ml water
  • 1 package of dry yeast
  • 2/3 pkg. vanilla sugar
  • Icing sugar (for the icing)

Preparation:

  1. Mix all ingredients well and knead into a simple yeast dough. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  2. Roll out the risen dough to a thickness of about 1.5 cm and cut out circles (e.g. with a wine glass).
  3. Cut a hole in the center of each circle, e.g. with a shot glass.
  4. Let the donuts rest for another 30 minutes. In the meantime, heat the oil in the deep fryer to 160°C – no hotter!
  5. Bake the donuts until golden yellow on each side.
  6. Mix icing sugar with a little water to make a glaze and dip the donuts in it.
  7. Enjoy!
