Homemade whole wheat pizza dough

Anyone who claims that crispy pizza is just unhealthy fast food should try this homemade whole-wheat pizza dough. Simply delicious!


Ingredients:

  • 400 g freshly ground wholemeal flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 230 ml water (lukewarm)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation:

  1. Mix sugar, yeast and lukewarm water in a bowl.
  2. Let it rest for 5 minutes until foam forms.
  3. Stir in honey, salt and olive oil.
  4. Gradually work in 360g of flour.
  5. Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes until a smooth dough forms. If necessary, work in the remaining flour.
  6. Form the dough into a ball, place it in a bowl and let it rise, covered, for 1-2 hours.
  7. Preheat oven to 250 °C (convection oven).
  8. Knead the dough again, divide it into 2 portions and roll it out.
  9. Top as desired and bake for about 15 minutes.
  10. Enjoy!
