Anyone who claims that crispy pizza is just unhealthy fast food should try this homemade whole-wheat pizza dough. Simply delicious!
Ingredients:
- 400 g freshly ground wholemeal flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp salt
- 230 ml water (lukewarm)
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
Preparation:
- Mix sugar, yeast and lukewarm water in a bowl.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes until foam forms.
- Stir in honey, salt and olive oil.
- Gradually work in 360g of flour.
- Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes until a smooth dough forms. If necessary, work in the remaining flour.
- Form the dough into a ball, place it in a bowl and let it rise, covered, for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 250 °C (convection oven).
- Knead the dough again, divide it into 2 portions and roll it out.
- Top as desired and bake for about 15 minutes.
