Wholewheat tortillas

Delicious whole-wheat tortillas. Quick, easy, and good!


Ingredients:

  • 200 g freshly ground wholemeal spelt flour
  • 1 tsp rock salt/sea salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 90–100 ml water
  • a little flour for rolling

Preparation:

  1. Mix flour and salt.
  2. Add water and olive oil and knead to form a smooth dough.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
  4. Divide into 4-6 equal pieces and roll out on a floured surface to a thickness of approximately 1 mm.
  5. Dampen a tea towel and wring it out. Use it to keep the flatbreads warm later.
  6. Cook in a hot pan without fat until bubbles form.
  7. Turn over and continue baking until the underside is brown.
  8. Wrap hot flatbreads in a damp cloth to keep them soft.
  9. Fill as desired.
  10. Enjoy!
