Spätzle fans can't get enough of these delicious cheese spaetzle. Everyone will happily dig into this recipe.


Ingredients

  • 500 g freshly ground flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 350g mountain cheese
  • 150 g Rasskäse or Emmentaler
  • 1 onion, sliced ​​into rings
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of pepper

preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, eggs and milk until thickened.
  2. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to the dough and mix well.
  3. Let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. Bring a large pot of salted, boiling water to a boil.
  5. Press the spaetzle dough through a spaetzle sieve into the boiling water.
  6. Bring to a boil and skim off using a perforated sieve.
  7. Place the spaetzle in a large pan and heat it up.
  8. Grate the cheese and stir it into the spaetzle until it forms threads.
