How about some pizza? But you don't even need to order delivery. Homemade pizza is just as delicious. A whole-wheat spelt pizza is ideal if you want to feed your children a healthier diet without them having to give up their favorite pizza and other treats. They'd hardly notice it's made with whole-wheat dough because of its color.
Ingredients
- 42 g yeast
- 700 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 350 ml water (lukewarm)
- 2 tsp salt
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Topping and cheese to taste
preparation
- For the whole-wheat spelt pizza: This amount is enough for two baking sheets! Dissolve the yeast in 2/3 of the water, add the olive oil. Mix the flour with the salt and add it to the yeast mixture.
- Pour in the remaining water and knead to form a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 220 °C (top/bottom heat).
- Divide the dough between two baking sheets and top as desired.
- Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on the topping.
